This is my first time doing embroidery, I seen a post about this kit. And immediately I wanted to buy it. I’m generally a crafty person. So combine my love for Christ and crafting, I’m in! I’m half way through and I love it so much already! Sarah makes it so easy to follow along with her tutorials on YT. If you on the fence just buy a kit, I guarantee you’ll love it just as much as I do. I’m definitely buying more kits from abide in the future!

Practice makes perfect, well pretty good anyway

I bought the 1st practice kit but needed more practice with the stitches so I've bought the 17 stitch practice kit. I hope to be able to practice enough to complete a real kit soon. If I can't, it's of no fault of the creator of Abide. She has made it so easy to learn by providing all the materials, written out instructions with visuals and step by step tutorials on line. Please pray for me as I continue to try to stitch and pray for the patience to learn this new skill.

So Much Fun!

I decided to participate in the summer stitch-along after seeing an ad on Facebook. I’d never picked up a needle before, but I’m so glad I didn’t let that hold me back. 3 Things to Do While You Stitch

1. Listen

Use apps such as the ESV Bible, Dwell Bible and others to listen to the Word. Another option is podcast such as Communter Bible. If you have a spouse, children, or family at home, use this time to have them read the Bible aloud.

2. Pray

Spend time praying! Pray for the person you might be stitching for. Pray for your family, friends, neighbors, the local church, or the Church as a whole. Dont' get caught up in your to-do's, but instead focus on time talking with God.

3. Meditate

Focus on the scripture you're stitching. What does it mean? Who was this written for? How can it be applied to the believer today? Look over sermons from your local church and see if your pastor has preached on this text and then relisten!

Embroidering since 2014, it wasn't until 2020 that I saw a need for more Christ-centered art that you could make with your own hands and hang in your homes.

Abide Embroidery Co. was born shortly thereafter in 2021. Since then, thousands of stitchers have had the opportunity to stitch God's word and use that time to meditate, pray, and worship the Lord through art. It's a privilege to walk each new (and experienced) stitcher through new designs every other month, and to help point them to Christ.
